TheWaterproof Capsule is a lightweight, durable container designed to keep essential items dry during outdoor activities like hiking, camping or mountain biking. You can easily create TheWaterproof Capsule by modifying a standard 250ml drinking can. TheWaterproof Capsule is suitable for all types of items (e.g. medicine, small electronic devices, band-aids, sanitizer, pocket knife, powerbank, snacks, bicycle repair kit, lighter, matches...) that need to be protected from water during outdoor activities. It can also serve as a camping lantern with soft diffuse lighting. To utilize the lantern feature, you must print the cap in transparent material and add a small flashlight. The design of TheWaterproof Capsule is optimized for printing on an FDM printer without support material or infill. You have two options to close your WaterCapsule: one with a large handle for attaching it to your backpack, and another that is flat and has no handle to save space in your bag. To create your own "TheWaterproof Capsule": 1. Cut the top off a standard 250ml drinking can using a tin opener. 2. Press the threaded ring onto the opened can by placing the ring on a table and pressing the can into it. 3. Screw the cap onto the threaded ring and seal with a rubber band or printable TPU sealing ring. Share a picture of your WaterCapsule creation. TheWaterproof Capsule provides protection against splash water, rain, and snow when sealed with a conventional rubber band. If you use a TPU sealing ring, it can be submerged underwater for a short period of time.
