Clarence Fisher, a renowned archaeologist from the University of Pennsylvania, unearthed TT 159 and TT 286 in Dra Abu El Naga, Egypt's West Bank near Luxor, between 1921-1923. This site boasts an impressive collection of noblemen's tombs spanning multiple dynasties, including the Middle Kingdom, as well as scattered periods from the 18th to 26th Dynasties and the Ptolemaic era. In response to the Ministry of Antiquities' (MoA) initiative to develop this historic site, ARCE took on a mission to improve TT 159, the 19th Dynasty tomb of Raya, Amun's Fourth Prophet, and his wife Mutemwia, as well as TT 286, the 20th Dynasty tomb of Niay, Scribe of the Table. This ambitious project received funding from USAID and aimed to train 13 conservators from MoA in 2019. Moreover, ARCE created over 537 jobs for local workers who played a crucial role in clearing the site and building visitor infrastructure, ensuring the long-term preservation and accessibility of these ancient treasures. The photographs used in this model were kindly provided by David A. Anderson, Department of Archaeology and Anthropology at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse (www.sketchfab.com/danderson4; www.uwlax.edu/archaeology).
