Theater Model with Textures. Importing OBJ Files in Cinema 4D: A Step-by-Step Guide. To begin importing OBJ files into Cinema 4D, create a new file or double-click on the OBJ file you wish to import. Mark the file by clicking in the window below. In the normals section, press points or skip as needed. Next, mark the Texture coordinates (UVs) in the respective field. Under Material, select Import MTL File. By default, Cinema 4D will assign random colors to the material.
