The YABA
myminifactory
YABA stands for "Yet Another Blower Adapter." This is an updated creation based on some previous adapters. It's a swap-in mod for the stock 40mm cooling fans found in printers like the Wanhao Duplicator i3s. This mod accommodates a 50X50X15 blower fan, which are commonly used as part coolers on these printers. Browse the pictures to see how it installs, the hardware involved, and how it looks when homed on the actual printer. Hardware Requirements This mod requires some essential hardware, including a fan, a screw, and a nut to firmly attach the fan onto the part. I designed this mod to use the stock screws that securely attach the stock fan to the heat-sink. You can find a wide variety of 5015 fans on various online shopping sites, but always verify if your printer operates at 12 or 24 volts. Materials Needed 1 x 5015 blower fan 1 x M4 screw (20mm long) 1 x M4 nut The diverters simply force the air out the back of the heat-sink. If having the air exit the front bothers you, feel free to use them. Otherwise, they're not really necessary.
