The wreck of the Association
sketchfab
The Association's wreck site lies in Scilly where it met its demise in 1707. Sir Cloudesley Shovell's flagship was a 90-gun English warship built in 1697, crewed by around 680 sailors under Captain Edward Loades' command. Seabed topography is mapped from multi-beam echo sounder data collected by MSDS marine. The site is situated near the Gilstone Ledges in the Western Rocks, with depths ranging from 5m to 40m and located amidst deep rock gullies filled with large boulders.
