This large wall plaque is a scaled-up version of my smaller talisman from the popular game The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. The Witchers' Medallion serves as a silver emblem representing the witcher profession, displaying exceptional sensitivity to magic. As spells are cast or magical beings like genies approach, the medallion starts vibrating and tugging on its chain. Its wolf-shaped design is awarded to every young witcher candidate who successfully completes The Trial of the Grasses. The origins of these first medallions remain a mystery, although it's believed they were crafted in the ancient magic forge at Kaer Morhen. This medallion responds to all forms of magic, including curses, charms, and spells by vibrating intensely. It also warns of lurking monsters born from magic or experimentation by signaling their presence.
