The Walking Directory takes 22 Bishopsgate, London's tallest skyscraper, and transforms it into a vibrant public space designed to encourage innovative urban exploration by foot. At its core is an elevated visitor center surrounded by a thriving garden, connected to various levels via sweeping ramps and walkways. This dynamic hub includes an information center, exhibition area, café, and bookshop that will host events like Sculpture in the City and Open House. Beneath it, a serene sunken garden brings tranquility amidst the bustling chaos of intersecting routes that funnel people in all directions. The winding pathways create exciting new walking experiences and desired paths that link the building seamlessly to London's existing pedestrian network at multiple levels.
