"The Void" Top

"The Void" Top

thingiverse

A slender but substantial spinning top that turns for an extended period (crafted with meticulous detail using a solid fill print). Significant weight is distributed as far away from the fulcrum point as possible, significantly contributing to the increased duration of rotation. When in motion, it appears that no part connects the outer rim to the fulcrum point, hence the origin of its name. This design features varied nib sizes ranging from 10 to 20 millimeters, which need to be secured with epoxy once the print is complete (the recommended option being the 15 millimeter choice). Print instructions: Create a solid fill print at 100% using a dense material such as brassfill if available. Choose your preferred nib size and adhere it firmly to the underside of the spinning top. Appreciate the end result!
