The Venus figurine of Dolní Věstonice (Czech: Věstonická Venuše) stands as a testament to human creativity, a remarkably preserved ceramic statuette of a nude female form that dates back an astonishing 29,000-25,000 years BCE. Unearthed in the Moravian basin south of Brno at a Paleolithic site, it is joined by only a handful of other similarly aged finds from nearby areas as the oldest known example of ceramics ever discovered.
