The Vending Machine Project- Into Outer Space

In our Multimedia class we were given a challenge to make 3D printed toys that would fit into a vending machine capsule. The purpose of the project was to learn about 3D modeling and 3D printing then share this with our school and beyond. Each student was responsible for creating 5 designs, and learned about how to design models that don’t need support material or adhesion. My design series is called “Into Outer Space”. The designs were made in TinkerCad. Some challenges were figuring out how to do the keychain part without the printer having problems but the things I most like about the models are how round they turned out. The first model is of a star. The second model is of a planet. The third model is of a UFO. The fourth model is a rocket. Instructions : Print using no less than 20% fill. Default speed and heat, no supports or rafts. Alex Multimedia and Design Studies Cold Lake High School
