The Vending Machine Project- Cute Keychains
thingiverse
In our Multimedia class we were given a challenge to make 3D printed toys that would fit in a vending machine capsule. The purpose of the project was to learn about 3D modeling and 3D printing and share this with our school and beyond. Each student was responsible for creating 5 designs, and learned about how to design models that don’t need support material or adhesion. My design series is called “Cute Keychains”. The designs were made with Tinkercad. The first model is “Alien planet” the challenge i had with this model was getting the ring to print properly while on the slight angle without any support , I really enjoy how the project looks complete even with a simple design The second model is “Ice cream cone” i struggled with getting the ice cream to lay flat on the other while still keeping the round shape of ice cream I really like how the cherry looks with the model i think it ties it together nicely The third model “Coffee” I had issues with the dimensions and size of the cup handle I like how there is the impression of a full cup The fourth model is “Game controller” The sizing of the model was difficult but i really like how all the buttons are hollow so you can personalize where you want the chain to go The fifth model is “Alien spaceship” The details in the spaceship was difficult while keeping the same shape I like how the spaceship has the little space beam attached Instructions Print using no less than 20% fill. Default speed and heat, no supports or rafts. L Cold Lake High School
