This is a FDM printable model (automatic support needed). This model is designed to be easy-to-print and easy-to-assemble. Please download the following files: 1) MainBody.zip 2) expansion-set1.zip 3) HKV_AssemblyManual.pdf Inside 'Mainbody.zip', you should find 5 STL files. These files contain all components for the main body. Print each file once. It is recommended to print Set 4 with TPU, although PLA/ABS are also fine. If the joints are too tight, you may adjust them with a file or sand paper. Inside 'expansion-set1.zip', you should find all accessories and an extra respirator head. Print according to your need. This project is inspired by the front-line protesters in the recent protests in Hong Kong. In case you don't know what was happening in Hong Kong, here is some background on the Hong Kong protest: The protest was originally for opposing the controversial proposed extradition law amendment bill where suspects in Hong Kong can be requested to be extradited to China. Since Hong Kong has an independent judiciary system which is different from China, this bill is believed to ruin the Hong Kong legal system and its business climate. Peaceful protests were made in June with 1 million and 2 million people going on the streets on 9 Jun and 16 Jun respectively, but the bill has not yet been formally withdrawn. At least 7 protesters have committed suicide to present their remonstrance to government. The protest on 12 Jun eventually turned into violent clashes resulting in chaos with tear gases, pepper spray, and rubber bullets. Since then, the police began to use excessive force on protesters (armed and unarmed). On 5 Aug, around 800 tear gas bombs were fired, and in total, around 2000 tear gas bombs have been fired since 12 Jun. On 11 Aug, a first-aider was shot by riot police causing loss of eyesight due to eye rupture. Riot police fired tear gas indoors and closely shot at unarmed protesters with 1m distance inside a Metro station. What is more, the Police force colluded with gangsters and triads to attack people indiscriminately. Until now, none of the gangster has been charged by the police. The Hong Kong people are asking for the following 5 demands: 1. Complete withdrawal of the extradition bill from the legislative process 2. Independent commission of inquiry into police brutality and use of force during the protests 3. Retraction of 'riot' characterization 4. Release and exoneration of arrested protesters 5. Implementation of universal suffrage for Legislative Council and Chief Executive elections Please stand with Hong Kong, stand with freedom!
