The USSR bureaucrat's lamp (KGB, NKVD)
thingiverse
Many movies feature a well-known tabletop carbolite lamp, sometimes called "Stallin's lamp" or "NKVD (KGB) lamp," as an indispensable attribute of the desktop of a bureaucrat, or as an attribute of interrogation in the NKVD. Karbolite is similar to bakelite, the first industrial plastic material. Time Magazine printed on its front page in September 1924: "It will not burn. It will not melt." The lamp was designed from pictures available online; I never had my own but always dreamed of having it. It's ideally suited for reading documents.
