I just received my brand new i3 Mk3, which comes equipped with an innovative spool holder that needed some fine-tuning to fit perfectly. In search of a more suitable option, I stumbled upon The Ultimate Spool Holder design on Thingiverse (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2047554), and its sleek design immediately caught my attention. However, this TUSH design requires a flat surface to function properly, so I decided to modify it to fit seamlessly onto the i3 frame. Fortunately, there's already an ideal remix of the original design (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2539560) that addresses my needs perfectly. That being said, I also discovered other impressive frame-mounted designs on Thingiverse, such as https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1808192 and https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1832235, which boast a strong reputation for excellence. While these alternatives are top-notch, they fail to match the effortless elegance of the TUSH design. To make things even more convenient, printing two regular v2 spool holders and two re-mixed v3 versions allows them to snap effortlessly into place within the 608 bearings, securing themselves onto the frame without any additional screws. This setup is nothing short of ingenious and has been working flawlessly so far.
