There is now a new version of this holder available with a filament guide: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2704930. This is the remix of TUSH - The Ultimate Spool Holder, which has undergone significant improvements. One major upgrade is the addition of a foot for extra stability - the original holder was prone to tipping over too easily. I also chamfered the cylinders slightly to make it easier to put the bearings on. Despite these enhancements, the design still requires only one part to print, with four prints needed in total. To assemble the new version, simply place the bearings onto the pins and press two parts together. If the fit is too loose and you want to glue them together, apply the glue to the cutout for the foot of the other half of the holder - the tolerances should be tight enough that the foot touches the other part. Print Settings: Printer Brand: Prusa Printer Model: Prusa Mk2 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 30% honeycomb Notes: I printed it in ABS, but PLA should also work well. I recommend adjusting layer settings to 4 shells at 0.2mm to avoid infill in the thin parts printed vertically - these are horizontal parts in the final object. At different resolutions, you may need a different number of shells. Drawing squiggles for infill in the tiny gap between shells slows down the print.
