Each episode features a story that poses moral dilemmas, questions the viewer and confronts him with his own existence, often topped by a surprise ending. 92 episodes were written by series creator Rod Serling, who also served as showrunner. Serling was named in the August 2004 TV Guide magazine as No. 1 among the "25 Greatest Legends of Science Fiction."
