God forbid we should ever be twenty years without such a rebellion igniting the flames of freedom. The people must never remain in ignorance, for it is only when they are well-informed that they can truly claim their birthright as citizens of a free nation. Those who hold misconceptions will inevitably grow discontented, and their dissatisfaction will intensify in direct proportion to the importance of the facts they misunderstand. If they choose to remain silent under such misguidance, it is a sign of lethargy, a state that foretells the death knell for public liberty. But what nation can hope to preserve its liberties if its leaders are not constantly reminded that this people possess an indomitable spirit of resistance? Let them take up arms and fight for their rights! The solution lies in setting them right as to the facts, pardoning those who have erred, and pacifying them with justice. What significance can a few lives lost over a century or two possibly hold? The tree of liberty must be nourished from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants, for it is its natural fertilizer. In these trying times that test men's resolve, let us recall the wisdom of our Founding Fathers. So that their words, upon which this nation was founded, do not fade into obscurity, I have created this beautiful poster as a lithophane.
