Wasn't actually able to enter competition :( Please watch video: http://youtu.be/0r_mhUd2f9Q Sorry some images are the wrong dimensions because the photos are pinched in to make it a square size. This is the TORNADO VORTEX! This for the Catch The Wind competition. It's a great thing for anyone to print out if they want to teach their kids what tornados are or how a vortex works. Its also just a fun project to work on! All the files are printable and ready. You will need: 1) Two 12VDC fans, one that is 40mm(1.5 inch) and one that is 60mm(2.5inch) 2) Two power adapters that can connect individually to each fan. They need to be 12VDC and they need a larger amp output then the fans. (Instructions are in the Instructions slide above) 3) Cotton 4) Dry Ice (Or you can use anything to create smoke such as a smoke machine) 5) Boiled/ Hot water 6) Something to 3D print all of the below STLs 7) Hot Glue One item you need to look out for with a safety hazard is with the dry ice. Dry ice is very dangerous, it could leave markings and it can burn you. Yes the cold can burn you. The ice is at a temperature of -100oF. Be careful and keep children 12 and under in constant watch at all times. HaVe FuN ;) Thanks!
