Here's an album of gifs and photos, please take a look as they're all full resolution! https://imgur.com/a/lEpyva8 This is my entry for the Autodesk Fusion 360 Challenge. I wanted to tackle the wearable challenge because it seemed like something that would relate most closely to me since I often walk home from school and would definitely appreciate having a device like this one. The "Time Bomb" is a wearable device with watch functionality, but its primary goal is to allow you to quickly contact emergency services at a moment's notice. I aimed to create a device that could easily integrate into your life while also being simple to use when the situation requires it. To use the device, all you have to do is press down on the watch face. It depresses about 2mm into the body and activates immediately. The device will quietly vibrate for 10 seconds so you can know that it's activated without alerting anyone else. If the watch face isn't deactivated within that time frame, it sends an automated call to emergency services explaining your name, GPS location, and that you've called for help. In order to stay discreet, no noise is made and nothing changes on the watch face to avoid alarming your attacker. In case of accidental activation, the device has a 10-second window to let you simply press the face down again and have it retract without calling emergency services. I wanted the wearable to serve a purpose beyond being an emergency response device since, hopefully, you'll never need to use that feature anyway. So I incorporated a simple watch with a series of 12 surface-mount LED lights placed evenly around the center to create a watch face. The hour hand LED is solid color while the minute hand blinks slowly for accuracy to within five minutes. It uses a magnetic touch contact charge system and, given its basic interface and only accessing your location when you press the button, I anticipate that it won't need nightly charging – maybe even just once a week! The name comes from the fact that pressing down on the watch face activates a 10-second timer, hence the name "Time Bomb"! If you have any questions, feel free to ask them in the comments and I'll do my best to answer them. Thanks so much!
