The Thumball
prusaprinters

Print out the Ball, the Cup, and the Crown. You might want to grab some sandpaper and get those parts buttery smooth. It's not a print-in-place toy, but it should assemble without glue, depending on your tolerances.

The extra ingredient needed here is a single M4 screw for the joystick. I like an M4x8. I felt bad about requiring that, but it was tough to model a strong 3D screw at this size, so I took the easy route. But I do like the DIY look of it. And if you have a 3D printer, you likely have a drawer of them, right?

Assembly: Get all your sanding out of the way first. Screw the M4 screw into the Ball leaving at least 5mm of screw exposed. Drop the Ball into the Cup, and clip on the Crown. With a little convincing, it should get there.

Take care, de-stress, and get them thumbs nimble yo!
