The Three Graces at The Royal Cast Collection, Copenhagen

The Royal Cast Collection in Copenhagen, Denmark features a stunning sculpture called The Three Graces, created with Memento Beta. Germain Pilon crafted the original piece, while Dominique Florentin designed its triangular base. In 1561, Queen Catherine de Médicis commissioned this work on behalf of her husband, King Henri II, who had tragically passed away in 1559 after a jousting accident. The three Graces' heads originally held a bowl containing the late king's heart; his wife's heart was also intended to be included. The original sculpture resided at Paris' Celestins monastery church. This remarkable object is part of the "Scan The World" initiative, launched by MyMiniFactory as a non-profit endeavor. Through this project, we're creating a free digital archive of fully 3D printable sculptures, artworks, and landmarks from around the globe for public access. Scan The World is an open-source community effort; if you have fascinating items to share, email stw@myminifactory.com to learn how you can contribute.
