Rodin's Thinker High Poly Photogrammetry Scan - A Masterpiece of Philosophy The Thinker (French: Le Penseur) is a stunning bronze sculpture crafted by Auguste Rodin, often displayed on a stone pedestal. This magnificent work showcases a nude male figure, towering over life-size, seated on a rock with his chin resting on one hand as if lost in profound thought, symbolizing philosophy at its finest. The Thinker has become an iconic representation of philosophical contemplation, inspiring countless images and interpretations. A total of 28 full-scale castings exist, each measuring approximately 186 centimeters (73 inches) high, although not all were created during Rodin's lifetime under his direct supervision. Various other versions, including plaster studies and posthumous castings in a range of sizes, have also been produced. Rodin initially conceived the figure as part of another work in 1880, but it wasn't until 1904 that the first monumental bronze casting was unveiled, forever changing the artistic landscape.
