The Thankful Turkey

#The Grateful Gobbler Thanksgiving in the United States is slowly becoming a forgotten holiday. The steady encroachment of Black Friday into Thursday evening has weakened this traditional family event. Perhaps we should take a stand against rampant commercialism and extend this beloved holiday by giving thanks throughout the whole month of November? By printing and using The Grateful Gobbler, you annotate a whole month's worth of thanks on this bird's tail feathers. These thoughtful penned reflections can then be archived for future family gatherings or read out loud while waiting in Black Friday sales lines. ##Some Quick Reminders - You will need some paint for decorating your model: black, brown, gold, orange, red, tan, white - Make sure the two short toes align with each other - Attach the head to the body slightly twisted either left or right for a more whimsical expression - Use the smallest model for holding name cards and establishing seating assignments for dinner; use the back of these place cards for playfully annotating the person's dinner eating habits (e.g., "pie monster" or "gravy slurper") - Fold a paper fan for the larger models and use this fan for recording everyone's thanks - Remember to record the date on your "feathered" thanks __NOTE__: The Grateful Gobbler is an adaptation of a commercial product, "Turkey on the Table."
