This is an accurate 3D replica of the TARDIS from Doctor Who, as seen on the BBC series. It comprises three distinct parts: Firstly, a realistic-sized STL model I created based on exact dimensions obtained from a blueprint used by me. Secondly, the entire TARDIS body and top part were scaled down to a total height of 11cm to conserve material, while also hollowing out the central section for the same reason. Once printed, carefully use a precise amount of model glue or super glue to put all three pieces together, ensuring the joints are secure and solid. However, I advise against scaling the smaller parts, as their thin walls can make them more prone to printing issues, potential damage from excessive force while gluing, or compromise when painting. Printing Details Printer Settings: Rafts: Yes Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.19mm for the entire TARDIS body and 0.09mm for just the cap Infill Density: * For the body, an infill of 30% provides sufficient strength. * The cap has a denser infill of 60% to increase its rigidity. Notes: The model was designed using ABS material. A gray coat is recommended prior to painting. Painting and Post-Printing: Blue Spray Paint: Use blue spray paint for an authentic look that's sure to impress! After a few coats, switch to high-quality model paints to add the fine details of windows, signs, lights, and more! Consider adding prints of TARDIS-specific signs as well. You can secure these signs directly onto your 3D print. The Creation Process: Blueprints and References: This design was made from a reliable blueprint that's been adapted from one available online. Some knowledge about the original material may be required but, with sufficient visual aid from the show, the project will unfold quite easily!
