I wanted my T-Rex skull to sit on top of my monitor stand so I made a real quick adapter where one end is 36mm and fits on my monitor stand pole and the other inserts into the top half of the T-Rex. ver 1 : created as first test of diameters, seemed to fit well ver 2 : added slot for male end and also added in a cone-shape around the extrusion for more support at lower infill % I've only tested at 50% infill but I assume with ver 2 you'd be able to go lower infill with no issues. If it's liable to get bumped or shaken often an extra wall or two might help as well.
