The Heavy Duty Filament Spool's bigger sibling can accommodate up to a full kilogram of filament, thanks to its increased number of arms and modified spindle. Ensure to print the spindle with high infill for rigidity against the weight of the spool. The fork design features wider, longer, and thicker bases, with one side extended to prevent filaments from jumping off and wrapping around the spindle. This design is based on variations of thing:11447 by watsdesign, known as Mendel spindles. To print the hub and arms, use two extra shells for strength and 25% infill. Some trimming might be required around the dovetails if bottom layers are smushed. Begin assembly by hand or using pliers to secure the dovetails in place. The fit should be tight.
