The Sun Voyager (Sólfar)

This project is a tribute to all my friends and former colleagues from Iceland, as well as those who have fallen under the charm of this incredible destination. Designing the entire piece without access to the original sculpture proved to be quite challenging. I relied on available photos and videos to make educated estimates of dimensions and draw accurate curves. I deliberately avoided attempting to print individual components, which means no allowances for joints were included in the design. Now, I need to figure out how to flatten those curved elements so they can be printed successfully.
