The Struts Logo
thingiverse
This is a revised version of the logo for The Struts, with the letters joined together to form a singular object that can be hung or taped on a wall, giving it a 3D effect compared to just a sticker or poster. Two versions are included: one flat and angular created in Sketchup, while the other used Microsoft's 3D builder and its Smooting feature. The smooth version was printed on a Creality CR-10S with the following settings: Layer height: 0.15mm Walls/Top/Bottom thickness: 0.8mm Infill density: 20% For the smooth version, make sure to generate support everywhere, whereas no support is required for the flat version. The printing process took around 4 hours and 10 minutes at a speed of 60mm/s, using approximately 9 meters of filament. The result is impressive, but I think the flat design might actually end up with an even smoother finish - something to be tested in the future. Note that neither myself nor anyone else should use this design or any derivative for commercial purposes. I created it as a decoration piece and because I love the band, and I validated with the official Strutters Fan Group administrators that posting it here for non-commercial purposes would not infringe on any copyright. If you're wondering who The Struts are, head over to Youtube and check out their live performance of Body Talks at the Victoria's Secrets 2018 fashion show. If that doesn't hook you, I'm afraid you might be a lost cause...
