The Spider-Stand: A Phone Stand for Webheads

Here's a Spider-Man-themed phone stand that I designed as a gift for my nephew. The cradle holds the phone at a 15-degree angle or a near-45 degree angle, depending on how you orient the back section. I carefully crafted the plugs and holes so that the two parts are perfectly flush in either configuration. Printing Tips: * Print the Webby Part (that's what I call it) on its side to save an enormous amount of support material and cleanup time. * I printed my Cradle on its side, but you can reduce support material even more by printing it on its back. Removing support material from small features like the web detail is a process that not everyone enjoys, so use your discretion. * Use a raft on the Webby Part to prevent curling on the tight corners. I learned this lesson the hard way - see the KwikWood in the background? That's what I used to fix an especially warped corner. Don't make the same mistake I did!
