Moskvich-423: A Valuable Asset for Cities Skylines Developed at the MZMA plant in Moscow from 1957 to 1958, Moskvich-423 marked a significant milestone as the first production wagon produced in the USSR. Its predecessor, the basic model M-402, paved the way for this groundbreaking achievement. The original Moskvich-423 was manufactured from 1957 to 1958 before giving way to a modernized version, the 423H. Incorporating units from the Moskvich 407 model, the upgraded 423H emerged in 1958 and remained in production until 1964. Interestingly, Moskvich-423 vehicles were not sold to individuals due to concerns that their unique body design and high payloads might encourage illicit private enterprise.
