This fantastic mini turntable is for all hip hop enthusiasts and anyone who simply wants to have a great time scratching. Moving the small vinyl disc with your finger makes the tiny plastic stylus literally "scratch" on it and produce a scratch-like sound loud enough to add it to instrumental music and create a personal soundtrack! Move your fingers on the mini turntable and feel like a pro deejay with THE SKRATCH! - PANE & LEO - Print Settings Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Yes Notes: We highly recommend printing the turntable and the vinyl with a raft if printing on buildtak or any particularly sticky surfaces Post-Printing Unfortunately... Our printer experienced some issues and broke down. Unfortunately, we couldn't print the finished object and create a video to showcase THE SKRATCH in action. However, I will post photos of what we've accomplished so far and hope you enjoy! How I Designed This Initially meant to be more functional than aesthetically pleasing, this gadget was designed to produce sound using the scratching of the stylus on the vinyl, covered with some soundtracks to emulate the scratching sound in a suitable way. After having printed it, we realized that it was just as pretty as functional – and it didn't work at all! There we decided to rethink the entire project and finally perfected THE SKRATCH! ready for you to print and enjoy! Here are some random sketches of our design process. One key difference between the first concept and the final version is the feet. These sketches demonstrate how to insert the stylus using a ball-joint, as well as some concepts we explored during the design phase of the original vinyl disc.
