The SK Filament Dry Box

I have printed and configured over 10 variations of a dry box and the photo above is my final concoction. I call it a concoction because i took parts from multiple filament boxes posted and used them in one project along with some modding some of the pieces to make it to my liking. After acquiring everything above, we need to start printing parts. Let's start with the rollers. StvPtrsn designed amazing rollers. We are going use his design but change how we use them. StvPtrsn uses his for the edges of the spools to roll on. I found using his rollers though the middle of the spool is best. This way you don't have to worry about a damaged spool slipping or falling off track. I print at 150mm/s and the filament rolls off them effortlessly and never pull more filament then needed. I go close up in the YouTube video posted below of how well the filament rolls off the spool. Here is a link to StvPtrsn's rollers below. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3947469 Go ahead and print (6) "Spool_Roller_75mm" and (1) "Rod Holder" Now print my two modded items in this post. (1) "Rod End Open Holder" and (2) "Rod Holder End Cap" You now have all the parts you need for the rollers. Now let's print the parts we need for the Filament Guides. Bradcfisher did an outstanding job with his and that's what we are going to use. Here is his link: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2896547 Print (3) "12mm_x_42mm_bolt_1.75mm_filament_PC4-M10_fitting" (3) "12mm_nut" (3) "frame_inner" (3) "frame_outer" I have an Ender 3 S1 Pro. When i removed my stock filament spool holder, it had the filament sensor mount attached. I had to print a new one for my setup. I modded a part at the time but can not find the file. Joaolsneto designed one that looks like it should work. Here is his link: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5332875?fbclid=IwAR2p9hbgZThSzyedy5eBuVJIjNCNa2qOyNbalYFWkq5at6fywNLOsaRhHr0 Let's finish up by printing the humidity sensor holder. Dstarke designed an awesome holder for our sensor. Here is his link: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5262772 You now have all the pieces needed to assemble The SK Filament Dry Box. Below is a YouTube video showing you how to assemble. VIDEO COMING SOON! Enjoy! NOTE: Some may say it is not a "true dry box" without a heating element and that may be true. I consider the silica gel packs i drop in the tote "drying" out the filament. My setup currently does not have one. My box stays at 30-32 percent humidity and I live in Michigan in the United States of America. Would a heating element help? Probably. Do i currently feel my setup needs one? No, i do not. That may not be the same for you. If i ever were to add one, I would go with something like this. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08XWQQNG5/ref=twister_B0C4BGV7S1?_encoding=UTF8&th=1
