The Simple C-Clamp

And now for something completely different from my usual projects - a C-Clamp with three distinct parts: a body, a threaded section, and an end clamp. At 100% scale, the main body has a substantial 2-inch gap, which, when assembled, can likely clamp items up to a maximum of 1.5 inches in diameter (note that the LEGO figure is scaled up twice in the picture). One image showcases the slight gap between parts, indicating that initial setup and anything thinner than 1/8 inch will require a small spacer for proper clamping. Some key points to keep in mind: 1. In my previous experience with this design, I made one before, but it broke at the thread along the layer lines after over-tightening. The base was printed on its side during that initial attempt. However, when I printed the second base upright with plenty of support, it became virtually indestructible, even as a PLA part. I strongly recommend printing the body upright with supports to avoid similar issues. 2. Two end clamps are included in this design: one is looser and highly recommended for use, while the other is extremely tight and requires considerable force to slip onto the threaded section. Both work fine when tightened correctly.
