The Shockwave Cellphone Holder (+ Sucker Cup Option)
thingiverse
Submitted for your reuse enjoyment, here is my Shockwave Cellphone Holder. Designed for classroom use, I wanted a design that gave folks an option to attach a table-balanced set of four 25 mm sucker-cup feet - said feet designed to protrude from the base so as to make de-suckerfication easier. Also tossed in two side holes for optional support (cable ties, string, colorful ribbons, etc.) as well as ventilation holes to help keep our tech cool. Finally, the hole at the bottom of the phone-seat is designed to fit virtually every charging/data sync cable I could get my hands on (yes, both of them). I also wanted a lower-poly design so as to chop a few eons off of that final print. p.s. I've also been toying with the idea of adding device clips for those side holes - stay tuned? Backstory: I created this 'tech holder when an enrolled retired student of mine diagnosed herself as having dyslexia during National Dyslexia Month. An officially diagnosed benefactor myself (encouraging me to work harder than other students, it was a super power - made me into an over-achiever), I wanted to do everything in my power to support her attempts to use 'tech to assist. So Merry Christmas, Mona as well as others - Don't forget the reason for the season!
