The Shame Monkey
thingiverse
During my childhood, my grandmother stressed the importance of good manners and proper dinner table etiquette. She employed a creative method called the "Whoopsie Monkey" to instill these values in us. The idea came from a book, and it was straightforward: whenever someone made a mistake at the dinner table, she would stand up and declare that (Insert_name_here) had committed a Whoopsie! She'd then place the monkey in front of the offender, who would be reminded of their lapse in manners as they finished their meal. This tradition continued until we reached our 20s. Years later, I shared this story with my boss, who found it amusing and bought a wooden monkey for our office. We named him Paul, and he's used to highlight minor mistakes. The monkey was purchased online, but we are unsure of the original artist; if anyone knows, please let us know.
