The Screwless V-Slot Mount
thingiverse
Clips are too unstable, screws take too long, and clamps are too bulky. I needed a quick way to get components on and off my printer, especially my foam-core heat cabinet panels and repurposed wifi phoneCams. Wouldn't it be great if there were just a simple twist-and-click accessory for the 2020 or 2040 V Slot? Why not? Then it hit me: "I have a 3D Printer! Why don't I make something like that?" The latch/knob and slot design are isometric, including the boolean negative (positive-negative?), so you can adapt it for other plate thicknesses or repurpose it for applications I haven't even thought of. If you stick with my knobs, I recommend the round one over the flat one...it's more stable and applies more surface to the connection (but it does require underside supports). The flat knob requires no supports and works in a pinch. I've printed from different PLA and ABS without significant variation on functionality. It's easily adaptable to unlimited applications. I'm excited to see what you do with it...please post remixes and prints!
