Behold the Schnoz, the ultimate razor pen holder designed specifically for your desk, rendering previous solutions obsolete. Colleagues had voiced concerns about Xacto holders cohabiting with pens and small tools, prompting us to establish their own designated area. Eventually, a pegboard solution prevailed, prompting me to share this original design with craftspeople who prize tool accessibility. Fortuitously, the shape emerged as an instinctual combination of a fulcrum keeping the handle at 45 degrees, perfectly encapsulated within a triangular footprint. For future iterations, I envision incorporating a funnel system allowing blade insertion from any angle while guaranteeing vertical exit orientation. Given my inclination for thick shells (approximately 2mm), even 15% infill resulted in a substantial object. If thinner walls are desired to minimize material usage, an unweighted version offers a small recess for attaching a magnet or embedding ball bearings or hex nuts for additional functionality.
