The Sand Flop

The Sand Flop

thingiverse

This sandal is like a flip flop but with a back strap for heel support! Its sole is contoured to the shape of a foot and very comfortable! Directions: Scale your foot to the soles and 3D print the right and left soles, as well as two of each strap. To assemble, glue the straps into the slits in the sole, just like you see in the pictures. Suggestions: The soles may need to be printed at an angle to fit in your 3D printer. Print them with the treads facing downward, so that only the supports touch the treads. Soles print best using a raft, and straps print best using a brim. Using more flexible materials like NinjaFlex makes straps comfortable. Feel free to use shoe laces or fabric as straps and glue them into the existing slits. Print Settings: Rafts - Yes, Supports - Yes, Infill - at least 20%. Post-Printing: Remove supports and glue the straps into the slits in the sole, just like you see in the pictures.
