In 1961, during excavations in Pliska, the Old Bulgarian capital, an ancient seven-rayed bronze medallion was unearthed, later named the Pliska Rosette. This artifact, dated between the 7th and 9th centuries A.D., likely served as a tool for astronomical calculations. The researchers believe that the seven rays may represent the classic planets known to the ancients: the Sun, Moon, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus, and Saturn. The runic symbol "IYI" is interpreted as "heaven" or "sky" and symbolizes both the Bulgarian god Tangra and the ancient ruling clan Dulo of Bulgaria.
