Add vibrant movement to your vinyl. A Rook sits atop a record as it plays, and generates lively animation from any of the 16 slides inserted into its inner ring. Print it out of heavy material like Colorfabb Bronzefill and it will function beautifully as both a record stabilizer. An animation sheet featuring vintage slide photography by Eadweard Muybridge is included - taken in the 1870s and 1880s. See how it comes alive. Read more about zoetropes on Wikipedia. Instructions The main piece (the drum) fits right onto a record like a stabilizer, and printing it out of heavy Colorfabb Bronzefill with 100% infill makes it around 275 grams - doubling as an effective stabilizer. The inner part (the carousel) contains 16 slots for animated slides. Print it out of a light-colored material to let the most light in or out of Colorfabb Bronzefill for 36 more grams of weight and then paint it white inside. I made them separate so you can easily change your animations by printing out different carousels for each animation. To run your turntable, here's what you do: Add a bright light above it if possible - the brighter, the better. Speed matters too: the design is meant to operate at 12fps at 45rpm and runs smoothly there but the animation may appear choppy at 33 rpm however when played at 78rpm it works out well.
