Prehistoric carvings referenced 'The Ringses 7' on the Beckensall Archive and ERA. A small area of exposed outcrop stands out among several other carved areas to the east of the Ringses multivallate Iron Age hillfort, near Doddington in Northumberland. This relatively compact space features two cups with grooves each accompanied by a penannular, as well as several other cups of varying size, all set within a long curving groove. The Historic England area scheduling can be found at https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1418072. ERA and Beckensall Archive records are located at https://archaeologydataservice.ac.uk/era/section/panel/overview.jsf?eraId=40. A 3D model was created from a single stereo pair captured by Kevin Malloy in March 2007, during recording for NADRAP. Imagery forms part of the ERA / NADRAP archive.
