The redesigned coffee pot boasts an innovative handle to enhance usability and safety. The new handle, made from sturdy plastic, is easy to grip and fits the average hand comfortably. It's designed at a more vertical angle than traditional pots, ensuring weight transfer through the handle rather than sideways like a frying pan. A flexible shield attached to the handle prevents skin contact with the hot pot. The spout maintains its optimal pouring angle, while the glass portion is cut to center liquid weight closer to the handle for better balance. Although a universal adaptable handle was considered, it was deemed less efficient due to varying coffee pot sizes. Instead, the focus is on creating an interchangeable insert that can be customized to fit different hand types. The entire design should ideally be printed using Polyjet technology for best results, with the shield made of flexible rubber, the handle from dense plastic, and the glass heat-resistant.
