I recall that initial encounter with this peculiar object, crafted on an FDM printer - it was surprisingly lightweight. Although I had calculated its weight based on the thickness of the walls and filling degree, my senses screamed - this thing is from another world, a true marvel of aerospace technology. The desire to convey the essence of that lightness, even weightlessness, through sculpture sparked the idea for this work. As spring gave way to summer, a rainbow stretched across the sky like a radiant bridge after a refreshing rain shower. A young girl, dressed in attire fitting for the season, walked along the edge of a tranquil stream, her feet barely touching the ground as she savored the beauty of life. In creating this figure, the challenge of printing an umbrella with a 0.72 mm thick dome (two perimeters when using a 0.3 mm nozzle) proved to be a hurdle and a triumph. But one always seeks to push boundaries and explore what's possible - for example, can a dome of an umbrella be printed just 0.36 mm thick? I modified the model and started printing once more.
