Main Project Link: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:668017 This simple idea features a cube with holes that allow 3 bolts to be run through, designed specifically for building structures using 1/4-20 nuts and bolts. The design accommodates two distinct sides labeled A and B, which can be used in combination or paired with other inch parts to create various applications. I recently built a side table utilizing threaded rods, bolts, nuts, and couplers but encountered issues due to flexing; however, it still meets my needs temporarily. To improve stability, future plans include adding more support between the legs of the table by printing additional cubes and using multiple rods once they are available. Meanwhile, I welcome any suggestions regarding machined metal parts done at a reasonable price, as such materials would undoubtedly add strength when constructing structures. Possible future designs may incorporate angled holes, which would not only allow for enhanced structural support but also open up new avenues of creative building projects. It's quite entertaining watching my cats try to balance themselves on the wobbly table while jumping onto it – an amusing spectacle.
