The qInch Project
cults3d
Goals of the Project: 1. Develop an articulating arm that can be used to hold various devices such as phones and cameras, giving users endless possibilities. 2. Design the entire system around 1/4-20 nut and bolts, taking advantage of their affordability, widespread availability, and variety of sizes. Additional hardware should be easily accessible at home improvement stores like Home Depot. 3. Create interlocking parts and joints that can be printed only once, then adjusted using different bolt lengths to achieve the desired size or modification. 4. Make the entire project open-source, allowing users to access source models and easily create new parts or improve existing ones for a collaborative community-driven development process.
