Sears, Roebuck and Company sold over 70,000 kit homes known as Sears Modern Homes between 1909 and 1940. These innovative houses included everything needed for construction, from lumber to electrical fittings. Today, many of these homes still stand in cities and towns across the United States, a testament to their quality and the people who assembled them. The Puritan, Model #P3190A, was listed in the 1926 catalog with a price range of $1,947 to $2,475. A 1:64 scale model of this home was created by Michael Curry based on the original listing from the Sears & Roebuck Modern Homes Catalog.
