Welcome to a gritty, urban landscape where stark contrasts between prosperity and poverty come alive in every scene. Paulwall boasts both high-end developments and makeshift shantytowns existing side by side, giving testament to life's extreme diversity. Residents living within Paulwall often have extremely limited resources, some literally on the verge of utter destitution, scraping out a bare existence day after day. However, despite all this bleakness, they somehow manage to call this unforgiving slum home. For better or for worse, Paulwall has something for everyone: six towering highrises offer what passes as comfortable housing amidst their unremarkable and mundane counterparts. Amidst them all stands a community center catering to the recreation needs of local residents – although, at present, its courts are only partially completed, awaiting model enhancements for the final product. Behind the scenes lies an ongoing battle against rampant crime – something Paulwall's residents seem perpetually resigned to – with violent scuffles commonplace throughout the area. Less fortunate observers will also bear witness to unwelcome cockroach infestations that come and go with seasons' change; police sirens wailing down the blocks while meth labs pose serious threats lurking in every shadow. Amidst it all, overpowering odors spread an unsavory air permeating every alleyway. Homes lack decent ventilation, forcing families into close quarters to cope – an unpleasant scenario repeated again and again across cramped apartments with poorly built walls offering little comfort against cold harsh reality; then, one stumbles upon yet another apartment occupied by six or even eight desperate souls forced into sardine-like living conditions under threadbare ceilings. Drab exteriors only serve as reminders of their desolate living environments. Concrete is a prevalent material found in every nook and cranny throughout Paulwall – testament to the high-density nature of low-income communities scattered haphazardly within concrete jungle walls which seem impassive, apathetic to their plights.
