The Piano Player

thingiverse

This project was a key component of my MFA thesis, Beep-Boopatronics. You can check it out at maxlupo.com/beep-boopatronics. The 3D printed components here are designed for the instrument you see and these servo motors from Adafruit: adafruit.com/product/2201. Because the tolerances are quite narrow, you may need to drill out some of the smaller holes so that everything fits together properly. The project's code is available on github at mlupo.github.io/piano-player. Here is a video of the device playing John Cage's composition adapted for the chord organ: youtube.com/watch?v=Uxc-VaRnjG4
