The Brisbane Fairfield Train Station, constructed back in 1895, stands approximately 4.5 kilometers south of the city's central business district. The site boasts a rich history dating back to pre-World War times, but with the ever-changing landscape, it is crucial that this heritage be preserved for future generations. To achieve this goal, a Conservation Management Plan was carefully crafted to identify and emphasize the most significant aspects of the site. This plan includes acknowledging the stunning views available on site. However, one important aspect has been overlooked - the phenomenology of the location itself. As visitors approach the site, they experience a gradual reveal of its historic elements, culminating in a complete understanding of the site's significance. A 3D point cloud model of the Fairfield train station aims to recreate and document the sensory experiences encountered within and around the historic buildings, materials, spaces, and properties. This digital representation seeks to capture the essence and spirit of the location, allowing future generations to appreciate its historical significance in a unique and immersive way.
