This 3D model showcases a ceramic cup designed specifically for drinking Yerba Mate, a caffeine-rich beverage made from Ilex paraguariensis leaves. The souvenir cup is wrapped in a vibrant Peruvian textile pattern and boasts a distinctive Machu Picchu leather print. It was acquired at a bustling handcraft market in Lima city. The unique shape of the cup is carefully crafted to match its purpose. A wider, rounded base allows for effortless pouring of Yerba Mate, while a narrower opening helps keep the drink hot. Additionally, the model includes a metal straw called a bombilla (see annotations). Yerba Mate has gained immense popularity across various South American countries, including Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay, and select regions in Brazil, Peru, and Bolivia. For many South Americans, particularly Argentinians, Yerba Mate holds significance that extends beyond the drink itself. It's deeply embedded in their daily routines and serves as a social activity where friends and family gather to share the mate cup and enjoy each other's company. Dimensions: 10 x 9 x 7 cm.
